 Sorry for the late post.
I am in loooove with so many things today! Let's name 'em.

  1. Hungry-girl.com
  2. Vitatops
  3. Sweetriot Peaces
  4. My new exercise room setup
  5. My new way to eat anything I want without getting fat
  6. Cold showers
  7. My new Bluefly.com Jar idea
  8. Forever 21...possibly 21 and stil in 10th grade
  9. Adorable children

1)  Hungry Girl is an awesome website that I just discovered today. It has recipe swaps for just about everything under the sun! It did however make me crave brownies and lava cake. Here is their website: http://www.hungry-girl.com/

2) Vitatops. I actually just found about these today on the Hungry Girl website. WOW! They look amazingly delicious. They are only 70-100 calories and are considerate enough not to include the nasty crumbly dry bottom part in their anatomical structure. Makes you want to tilt your head and say "Aww".

 3) Sweetriot Peaces are  1-2 calories per "peace", equitably sourced in Latin America, and their packages are splattered (haha...?) with origional artwork by up and coming artists. Once again, I discovered these on Hungry Girl. http://www.sweetriot.com/ This YumBar is, in total, 200 calories I believe. This is a freakin' huge bar, so its not bad for a whole day's worth of snacking!

 4) My new exercise room. Today I felt compelled to work out after reading a Self Magazine article on marathon training (Jeez have I plugged in enough companies? Its all coincidental, people), so I dragged the old treadmill out of my parents' room...literally, and set up a nice workout room in our middle "extra room" upstairs. Complete with a ginormous floor fan, a computer desk, and a snack table hosting water bottles and fruit, it looks wonderful...if I do say so myself :) Oh, yeah, and I also ran/walked/jogged/seizured a mile.

(My running area looks sooo much better than this ;D)

5) I have found my new favorite way of eating anything I want without getting chubby. It is quite stupid, actually, considering the fact that pretty much everyone else most likely already knew this. I will eat whatever I want.....within my calorie limit. I'm literally blushing at how stupid this looks on paper (screen). But yes :) Take today for example. I had a ham (sorry Brigitte Bardot), cheese, lettuce, and mustard sandwich for beakfast, 2 rice krispie treats (homemade and loveheart shaped) as snacks, 3 bowls of raw spinach with a teeny bit of vegetable salad thrown on top for dressing (it sounds like a lot, but spinach is SO low in calories), 2 bowls of boiled spinach (yes, I love spinach) with cooked garlic, garlic salt/sea salt, and feta cheese on top, and a banana. And to satisfy my chocolate craving I had an iced coffee shake (Cafe Cuppacino from Costco, by Kirkland) made with water and ice instead of milk (about 170 cals.) and I feel awesome! I think that I am going to just buy a 16 pack box of Vitatops and spread it out over 2 days as my meal :) I belive that for one week, we should all fulfil our childhood fantasy of stocking up on chocolatey snacks (organic) and have them as meals with a vegetable salad for dinner and lunch. And something healthy for breakfast. Jeez. I don't think I've discovered a new lifestyle. I think I've discovered....snacks.

6) After my run on my treadmill that now looks out a window (you know...to simulate those lively jogs you take out of your second floor window), I was feelin so pumped! I took an icy cold shower for the first time in a long time. It was wonderful :)

7) Aha! THIS is the section I have been waiting to write about. I came up with a brilliant scheme to save calories (even though I don't do the grocery shopping) and save up for a special treat! I will make a Bluefly.com jar to hide somewhere from my family...

I was thinking "Hmm. You know, High prices on gourmet treats are a good thing aren't they? Because when you pay a lot for a nice food, you don't have extra money to blow on junk food. But is that really a good thing? What could I do with my extra money that I would have wasted on junk food? I know! I can save up for something glamorous like a pair of designer heels or a new bag! Bluefly! Ohh this will be just like one of those chick flicks where the main girl lives in an apartment with her best friend and she is free to freeze her credit cards in blocks of ice -as well as anything else she fancies freezing! -and buys fancy boxes of chocolate and mail order cheesecake on a whim. That is so me." ....

Then I lost my train of thought.

Then I thought "Hmmm...I should make a Bluefly.com jar to toss money into and watch my savings grow for a new pair of designer shoes!" Because that is just me. I have literally drooled over the possibility of spending a $50 debit card on cheesecake shipped from Vermont. This will suit my lifestyle.

So, I am going to take my lunch money here and there and throw it into the jar. I will sell stuff on Etsy and my upcoming online store...I will take money that would have been spent on a 3 Musketeers bar out of my dad's wallet and save everyone the unnecessary calories (This way we all win).

So what do you think? Dior? Chanel? Miu Miu? Christian Louboutin?
I'm thinking that with these names, my parents going to be beach-ready by next Wednesday.

8) I sent in a resume today to apply for a job as an artist for Forever 21 apparel. I sent in about 3 or 4 fashion sketches as my "portfolio" and spent all night writing a resume. I am not confident I will get the job, but how awesome would it be if I did? It's so funny...school and all...they tell you that they are preparing you for the "real world" by making you write 700 word essays that supposedly build resume-writing skills, but to be honest, writing a good resume was the easiest thing I have done. I have no work experience and it still looked awesome. I should send in an "ameteur" resume under one name and a whole collection of resume-preparation essays that I wrote in middle school to see which one gets a call back.
